ALUMNI Partners has advised Reksoft, a Russian IT company, on its acquisition of a 100% stake in RNT Group, the right holder of EPAM Systems LLC, a Russian subsidiary of the international software developer EPAM Systems Inc.
The announced deal is a landmark transaction for the IT industry in Russia. It has been approved by the state regulators in both Russia and the US and was completed in August 2023. The transaction terms do not contemplate a buy-back option. The main post-completion integration steps will take about a year, bringing the total number of employees of the join group to over 1,500. Earlier, in the summer of 2022, the same ALUMNI Partners team advised on the acquisition of a minority stake in Reksoft Group by Vladimir Potanin’s Interros.
Reksoft, founded in 1991, is a leading Russian developer of digital solutions for such industries as banking and finance, public sector, retail, transport, logistics, IT, telecom, media and hospitality.
EPAM Systems LLC operates today under the RNT Group brand and offers its customers technology consulting services, digital solutions development and construction of flexible and scalable platforms for high load and large number of users. It focuses on working with organisations in the financial, insurance, retail, manufacturing and other sectors.
